Apparently about every 7 years there's a huge proliferation of Snowshoe Hares on the Kenai Peninsula. This year they're everywhere around here. We've had a couple in the yard almost everyday this summer, much to the flowers chagrine... I tossed some carrot sticks out to this one so I could sucker him into posing for me. I wonder if I gained a new pet... LOL
I'm hoping we'll see the Hares this winter when they're in their winter white fur. I'd never seen a Hare this size before so having them around is pretty cool, even if they did eat all my newly flowered Chrysanimums (sp).
